Find out the truth about your users
Get the high-quality data and actionable insights you need to make a product people love to use.
What We Do
All too often, there’s a gap between what designers, developers, and entrepreneurs think they know about users, and what users are really like. Who are your target users? What are their pain points? Does your UI make sense? What story are your analytics telling?
Do you know any of that for sure, or are you guessing?
Take the guesswork out of it. Just tell us your questions, and we’ll handle the rest.
Our Services
Quantitative Research
You want graphs? We’ve got graphs: surveys, analytics, benchmarking, and more. Or bring us your existing data for analysis; if it has numbers, we can get statistics.
Qualitative Research
There’s no substitute for face-to-face conversations with real users. Interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and more, we’ll get their thoughts in their own words.
Secondary Research
Maybe the information you need is already out there. If that’s the case, we’ll sift through stacks of industry and academic research, and get you a bottom-line answer.

FAQ

User research comes from the idea of user-centered design. Products that are easier and more pleasant to use than the competition are products that succeed in today’s highly competitive market, and major tech companies like Google and Apple employ in-house user research teams to ensure their products are fundamentally appealing to users. For smaller tech companies or those with temporary research needs, working with a user research agency is a more practical option.

No. Even from the very beginning, doing concept testing and establishing data-driven personas will get your product off on the right foot and prevent costly pivots later. And even if your product launched years ago, numerous methodologies can help you refine your UI, improve metrics, and uncover opportunities for growth.

While research is rarely free, conducting lean research on a shoestring budget is very possible. It’s also often better to pay for a few hours of research upfront than risk spending hundreds or thousands of hours going in the wrong direction. We’ve worked with pre-seed startups before and are happy to help brainstorm ways to get research going on whatever budget you have.
-
Every case is different and there is no single right answer, but a good rule of thumb is ‘as often as possible’. It’s better to do scrappier research more often than to do elaborate studies every few months.
